We promote the Collective Power of communities and organizations of activists, defenders of the environment and the territory by developing better capacities for advocacy at the national, regional and global level.

It seeks changes in public policies, agendas and practices that guarantee access, use and management of land and other natural resources for peasant and indigenous organizations of women and youth in the Argentine Chaco region.

It is made up of more than 25 institutions, including grassroots organizations, peasant organizations, indigenous communities, networks and second-order collectives, NGOs, public and private institutions.

The initiative works in a coordinated manner with 22 organizations from 12 countries in the region, with the aim of achieving land governance by and with people at the country level, responding to the needs and protecting the rights of those who live on and from the land through the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

It seeks to develop its members’ different capacities and strategies for effective advocacy and monitoring of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in their countries, especially on land and territory rights.

It supports by financing and strengthening the advocacy and resistance capacities of groups of environmental defenders in Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay who are facing the advance of extractive industries, the climate crisis and the criminalization of human and environmental rights defenders.

Two central strategies of the program are to increase the visibility of the situation of violation of human, territorial and environmental rights, from an environmental and gender justice perspective, and to strengthen internal and external networks and alliances between defenders to increase the capacity to influence public policies in the region.
